Shayne Summer S.T.A.R.S. students have had a great time at reading camp.  I hope you continue reading all summer long and send your book reviews to us to add to the blog!  Don't forget about the summer reading program that the Nashville Public Library is hosting; you need to read at least 10 hours to earn your reward!

Do you want to know why I chose this book? Because I like all the cool meat eating Dinosaurs. This book is about two kids in a magic tree house and they traveled in Dinosaur time. They  found  two plant eating and two meat eating dinosaurs. Their was a Pteranodon, T-Rex, Triceratops, and a Anatosauruses. Will they get back to the tree house before the T-Rex gets them?

Do you like UNhappy stories? A Series of Unfortunate Events the Austere Academy is about the Baudelaire children. It’s about Violet, Sunny, and Klaus figuring out plans to stop count Olaf. The three kids are orphans, and they go to school. Count Olaf dresses up as the gym teacher and makes the three kids run too many laps. Their principal is called Nero. Will count Olaf ever be caught? Ghost Dog Secrets By PEG KEHRET

Ghost Dog Secrets is about a dog who is a ghost in the story but no one knows in the story that he is a ghost dog. The main character in the story is Jim. Jim is the boy who saw the dog in his neighborhood on that dark and mysteries night. That’s when Jim saw the ghost dog every single day. He would see the dog after school. So one night Jim went out to see the dog and on that night the dog’s eyes became red. A fog started coming in. The dog growled and then he disappeared. Then the next day Jim’s teacher was acting very weird. Jim followed Mrs. Web until it was night. Then something started to happen to Mrs. Web, something Jim never saw in his life. Hey guys have you ever read Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Last Straw? First of all Greg was making a list of good things about this year. Then Greg had a girlfriend. Rodrick told Greg to bend down and he will give him 50 cents, but Rodrick had a water gun and Rodrick shot water on Greg’s new clothes. If you like adventures this is a great book for you guys!!!!
